| Student Organisation wins Award for Engineering Excellence |
The University Engineering Students’ Association (UESA) was awarded the prestigious Malta Engineering Excellence Award (MEEA) 2007 for Leadership at the annual reception of the Chamber of Engineers. The Award was presented to UESA’s President Ian Buhagiar by the Minister for Competitiveness & Communications Hon Censu Galea and the President of the Chamber of Engineers Inġ Helga Pizzuto during a ceremony held at the Aviation Museum on Friday the 7th of December.
The MEEA provide recognition to individuals or organisations that have achieved outstanding engineering accomplishments that have had a significant impact on Maltese society. There are three categories in the MEEA - for Innovation, Leadership and Lifetime Achievement. These awards are organised by the Chamber of Engineers in collaboration with the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure.
